Funny how the human mind rabbles through one thought after another. One thought leads to another thought, that leads to another and so on and so on.

So the absolutely beautiful, sunshiny day on Saturday lead my mind to think of my co-worker who doesn't really like the sun (or sand or the beach for that matter). She LOVES Washington's normal weather, overcast, grey, dull, rain, and snow.....Ahh snow (see how the mind is rabbling?) My favorite saying about snow is "It's beautiful.....on a postcard!"

But then the mind really took a right hand turn and thought about how truly beautiful snow is. No, not when it turns all brown and slushy but when it's gently falling. I was struck by the fact that each snowflake is completely unique, but they didn’t have to be. They could have been boring.

Have you ever thought about that? Snowflakes could have come in one size. Sunsets could have come in one color. Birds could have all been brown.

But they’re not.

Snowflakes are tiny pieces of disposable art. Sunsets are explosions of color. Birds come in a crazy array of shapes and sizes.

The world didn’t have to be amazing, but it is. Why? Because we have an amazing God. And it turns out, God doesn’t do boring.

Wow! I had no idea that you could write so descriptively. What a beautiful thought. You're right, God doesn't do boring.
